yeah thanks a million !!
.now if i can only figure out how to get that friggin' "UP" button back...
You da man!
For years I've had a 'send to' shortcut in my 'send to' file to facilitate the addition of new destination shortcuts to the send to file.
You have to right click on the original 'send to' icon in Vista to get a shortcut that's actually alive. (that is, the icon of the 'send to' referred to in the picture above) 2nd generation ones won't work. The first generation one will show colour. Subsequent ones will remain gray even when you click on them; and they will also remain empty, whereas the live one will show the file shortcut names.
Seems like Vista has hidden a lot of good things on us. After all it's only an advanced version of XP Pro. The registry editor recognizes it as that.
They must be masters of obfuscation and obscurity, not to mention obtuseness. But I can truthfully say, contrary to what Homer Simpson believes, that I received a check from Mr Gates.
Thanks!
I googled "send to" + vista which lead to your site... Thank you! THANK YOU!
It did drive me a bit nutts trying to find where they hid the "send to" folder.
Later
Google search : "send to" vista, first page, damn internet is becoming usefull at last !
Thank you for the tip!
Thank you for posting this!!! Jeeze, this has been driving me nuts! If only the stupid shortcut in your profile would TAKE you to this location.
