We have an HP Proliant G3 in which we are attempting to re-install Windows Server 2003. The 4 HDs are set up in a RAID0+1 array and have been rebuilt. When I started the OS installation, I pressed F6 to install RAID Controller Drivers; however, when it asked for the floppy in drive A:, I put it in and the Setup prog could not recognize the file system on the disk. After I went on, I got to the partition setup screen and set up two partitions, but the file system on each partition was unknown. I'm assuming I'm going to have to reformat the drives with NTFS before I can install Windows. Is this correct? If so, is there an easy way to do the reformatting without having to remove all the drives and reformat them in another machine?
Thanks for any help that is offered.
