Star [*] Zune 2 Firmware Suggestions

Overall I'm happy with my red Zune 4GB. However, there are a few features I'd REALLY like to see added in the next firmware update.

    • A simple clock on the main page, with the option to have it appear on all pages
    • Equalizer to overcome issues with headphones, car playback, etc. Heck, just having the basic Rock/Jazz/etc. settings like v1 Zune 30GB devices is better than nothing.
    • Gapless playback (some music was meant to be heard w/o gaps)

What are your thoughts? Vote using the poll below.

    Zune 2 - Feature Request

So, you got your hands on a new (v2) Zune. Pick one missing feature you can't live without... or suggest a new one if it isnt' listed. Let's keep this poll focused on hardware/firmware suggestions. I'll post another poll for Zune desktop software.

    • Clock (33.3%)
    • Equalizer (EQ) (33.3%)
    • Customizable Main Screen (33.3%)
    • Gapless Playback (0%)
    • Other (provide details...) (0%)
    You voted for 'Equalizer (EQ)'.

    Re: Zune 2 Firmware Suggestions

So I am really new to the Zune family.  Having just got mine today.  A couple of things though that i would really like from the Zune in the future are...

1.) xvid playing capabilities, converting is a pain in the butt.

2.) remote wireless sync.  I want to have the capability to sync back to my machine from any public internet connection.  Ideally to my windows home server that houses my music collection and since it has ddns and a name to get to it, can't be that hard...right?

3.) clock would be nice, and should be part of a greater customizable homepage

I am sure i will have more as i play with it some more....
