Register activex (ocx) with UAC enabled

    Hello,

I have MSI that registers ocx files. I need to run it from a web site (many users will need to install it).

Before placing it on the site, I tested the MSI (by double-clicking it) and it works fine on Windows Vista only if I disable the UAC.

If I keep the UAC enabled, it prompts a message, I click "Allow" and it looks like the installation is working (there is a nice progress bar). When the installation ends, and I try to access the site that uses the ActiveX I just installed, I get an error.

I don't want to disable the UAC, I want it to be active and still register the ocx files.

By the way, I am an administrator on the OS.

Can you tell me how can I do this?

    Thanks, Moran.

I am using Visual Studio 2005 to create the MSI.

I don't know what activex installer service is.

    Can you elaborate?
