World Bank Continually Hacked for OVER A YEAR!?

This is insane.  The World Bank has KNOWN that they have been continually hacked for OVER a year, knowing the intruders (who’s IP’s appear to be originating in China, though it could be spoofed) have had full access to data and they’ve not shut down connectivity.  Sure, it would cause serious issues, but I would think hostile foreign governments having access to the financial data of the free world might be a bit of a concern.  Read the story below;

World Bank Under Cyber Siege

If you notice, the intruders even re-organized the World Bank data to make it easier for them to search and extract.  This just blows my mind.  I don’t even know what the say.  Honestly I would love to know what their perimeter security product is so I make sure not to use it.

Or, could it be that the World Bank is what some people suspect: a collection of ineffectual, and ineffective sybaritic windbags; formerly relevant, and easily ignored.

Exactly.  Well put!  I wish we could ignore this issue and laugh at them, except so much of the world's critical financial data is at risk.  Personally I think for this gross negligence they should be shut down, period.
