If you have been itching to get your hand on a copy of Windows 7, but aren't part of the official beta and don't have the money to sign up for MSDN or Technet well you won't be left out in the cold. January 9th the Windows 7 Beta will be made available from the Windows 7 page for the first 2.5 million people who can get their grubby hands on it.
The Beta will be available in English, German, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi. Each of these will have an x86 and an x64 version. Since it is a download you will need to burn the resulting ISO file to a DVD. I recommend ImgBurn if you don't have burning software.
