Live Sysinternals Tools Scares Me A Little

Microsoft recently launched a handy site that enables you instant access to the Sysinternals tool set directly from the web.  A creative solution to the problem of always having to hunt down the right version of the tools or having to install them before you are able to being your troubleshooting.

Maybe I am just being paranoid , but this very plain site that is hosted on a non-Microsoft.com domain name scares me.

You now have a site that is going to be advertised to thousands of administrators who are going to be coming to a site looking to EXE's from a web site and often time run elevated process when they visit.  While I will concede some will pay attention to the signature prompts, most won't. They will have been conditioned to clicking on and allow these EXE's from this site to run something they would typically not be inclined to do from any other web site on the web.

Additionally, the site sports a very plain look that in my opinion would be very easy to spoof. So, Maybe I am just being paranoid...but for now I will stick with downloading the Full Suite Zip file when I need it.

If you go to sysinternals.com it redirects to an MS site so I wouldn't worry ;).
