Week In Review - 12/14/2007

Microsoft had a really busy week this week.  Unfortunately, it coincided with an IPv6 class I was taking that kept me busy most days.  Here are some of the highlights in case you missed them. Any I missed this week?

• Office 2007 SP1 RTW
• The SP1 for Office Server products is here
• Windows Live Workspace Beta Kicked off
• I got in, so more on this from me later
• Zune Social & Marketplace updated
• Improved overall stability and performance
• Ability to view Favorites on your profile and the ability to remove a favorite
• Most played artists will be displayed on your Zune Card, including three of the top songs for each of those artists (based on community usage)
• Zune Gadgets Page: http://social.zune.net/profile/gadgets.aspx
• Ability to view up to 24 recently played songs and 24 most played artists (increased from 5)
• Easier to remove friends (directly from the friends activity module)
• Timestamp for your recently played songs
• Song and album information is now displayed in the send dialogs
• December Security Updates shipped
• 3 Critical
• 4 Important
• Internet Explorer ActiveX Behavior Change Preview
• This removed the "Click to Activate" behavior
• Play for Sure got killed, Now "Certified for Vista"
• Too bad those have nothing to do with one another and will confuse the crap out of some people, but if your long term goal is possibly the death of DRM all together it is probably a way to go.
• OMG - Window 7 News - will have touch
• promises teens touching themselves less and screen more
• Bet this wouldn't have made it past the director of communications
• Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V beta ships
