Office 2007 SP1 Coming December 11th

I had speculated Last week that we might see Office 2007 SP1 before the end of year after seeing some very detailed information about SharePoint SP1 on a Microsoft blog.  Turns out my prognostication abilities are right on the money.  Today ,this Microsoft blog let slip, that next Tuesday, December 11th the Office System team will "release to the web" Service Pack 1.

As usual Mary Jo was all over this..

This is much sooner than the estimate everyone was given at TechEd Spain which alluded to a drop sometime in early 2008. Despite my reservation about a very quiet or very small beta, as we haven't heard of much testing since August, it is great to see something shipping.
