Halo 3 give-a-way - And The Winner Is...

Thanks to all those who entered to win a copy of Halo 3.  We really appreciate everyone who reads, and even more those who participate from time to time here and in comments and in the forums. Sites like ours aren't much without good readers, so if you have suggestions on how we can improve, content we should cover, etc. We would love to hear them.

I personally like the content that you put up here. That's why I subscribe to your feed.

The only thing I might suggest is that you have more Microsoft related news. For example, the new Zunes are being released this coming Tuesday. You could have a story about that. Also the Microsoft Surface was announced this week to be delayed until sometime next year. Those topics are not exactly related to "Windows", but I think readers of this blog would be interested.

Maybe you could also have a prominent "recommend a story" link where your readers can help drive the content. For example, Engadget has a "Tip us on news!" link on the top right hand corner of their page. Your "recommend" link could be linked to the forums so when someone suggests a story, a new forum post is created, which you will be alerted about and you can choose to write something about it on the front page. If you do choose to write a story about it, you could link to the original forum entry, where people reading the front page story could discuss the topic in the forum as an alternative discussion method to a story's comments section.

Another thing I could recommend is that you include photos with your blog posts.  For the Zune post, you could have an image of the new Zunes. For the Halo3 Contest, you could have had a Halo3 related photo.

Anyway, keep up the good job!

Those are some great tips. I will try to include a pic in all future posts (that are releated)

I also think a way to tip us on news is a great idea...So will see if we can do that too.
