Hit 'em where it hurts...

The other day I had a semi-evil thought. If Microsoft really wanted to regain the "Evil" crown from Apple, and put a serious dent in the google armor how you go about it? They seem to be playing out the whole services game, hey whatever works for you.  Personally, my idea would be to create an super ad-blocker.  Google makes a majority of its money from online advertising and Internet Explorer makes up a majority of the browser market.  It only makes sense that if Internet Explorer sent out a new version, say 7.5, make it a mandatory update for all operating systems and included a rocking ad-blocker you could put a serious dent in ad-revenue on the Internet, yours included which is a negative.  Consumers would love it, they feel inundated with advertising as it is.  The web community would give you back the evil crown because you are taking away their revenue stream and you would still be making money on your operating system and client applications.

Would never happen I know, they have a big stake in the online ad game now too, but it is fun to entertain evil thoughts once in a while.
