At the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, Microsoft announced the revival of the SideWinder line with the launch of a new SideWinder mouse built from the ground up with gamers in mind. It is available to preorder from Amazon for 79.99.

The mouse will allow gamers to record their own macros of their own with nearly endless possibilities. Other features include:

- new "Quick Turn" feature
- 3 different sets of feet offering different levels of glide
- LCD display on the mouse for tracking gaming action
- Quick launch button tied to Windows Vista's Games Explorer
