Microsoft's E3 2007

A number of things of interest from Microsoft at E3 this year.

The Games for Windows Live is great and long overdue, but how long until I can rent movies from the Live service on a Windows PC as well? Oh and make sure it integrates seamlessly with Windows Media Center....thanks

I'm very excited for Gears of War on the PC, but one major feature in Xbox Live integration into Windows Live Messenger on the PC. The only way to view your Xbox Live profile and gamer information is to log on to xbox.com or be in the game itself; if your friends and gamer info was in Live Messenger that would be more than welcomed :)

    Dan,

I was in the beta program for the Games for Windows Live program before the launch of the first titles that support it (Halo2 for PC and ShadowRun) from those at least i had a "blade" that would allow me much the same view i have seen from xbox360 screen that showed my gamer info and allowed me to interact with other gamers.

It did not have Live messnger integration, but you did have capabilities to see others online and communicate via the Games for Windows Live feature.

Right, but you need to load up the game in order to get to the blade. I really like the Xbox intergration for Halo 2 for Vista (espically the achievements and other Xbox Live features), I just think a nice improvement would be to sync it with Windows Live Messenger so you didn't have to be in the game to know if your friends are playing, etc.

The Games for Windows Live program is in its early stages, and I definetely am looking forward to the future as more and more games/developers are ultizing it
