Three Windows Live Betas Released

The Windows Live crew unleashed a set of three new betas today with updated builds of Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, and Windows Live Writer.

 

Windows Messenger is version 8.5 which had its UI leaked earlier this week by mess.be sports a new look and feel. It includes ,back end updates, new emoticons,  integration with Windows Live One Care, as well as rumored Windows Live Folders integration.

Windows Live Writer Beta 2 has a whole slew of updates including a new look and feel, inline spell checking, table editing, improved hyperlinking and image insertion. It also adds support for Sharepoint 2007.

Last, but not least is an updated Windows Live Mail beta which is designed to eventually replace Windows Mail, Outlook Express, and Windows Live mail desktop beta as its free mail client. It too has an updated UI and many performance enhancements.

All three betas seem to be moderate improvements but the direction shows great promise.  I am still puzzled how MSN and Windows Live will me leveraged....

I think the MSN/Live branding is still very confusing myself.

I've downloaded all three, but Messenger would only repair oder remove the existing one, LiveMail Desktop is the same (1226) as I have installed.

The writer is the only which was updated.

So where is the problem's source?
