In a press announcement this morning Microsoft unvailed when they will make the Zune available and how much it will cost you. It will be in stores starting November 14 at a price of $249.00. A little steep, maybe. My thought was they would try to undercut the current apple price which is also $249.00 for a 30gig device.
Maybe they thought they had a superior product and just matching the comperable apple product would allow them to undercut the overwhelming market leader.
The press pass announcement also has a long list of preloaded content that will be on the device such as:
Audio Tracks| • | Band of Horses, “Wicked Gil” (Sub Pop Records) |
| • | Bitter:Sweet, “The Mating Game” (Quango Music Group) |

I personally have only heard of a couple of these artist and I certainly hope that I didn't actually have to pay for any of this preloaded content as I would delete it as soon as I got the device anyway. Why can't I just get a decent game to play while on the mass transit system of my choice?
Anyway there you have it for $249 this November you can pick up your own shiny new Zune.
