Microsoft codename "Max" refreshed & adds RSS reader

Microsoft codename Max was updated on Saturday, to support the .Net 3.0 framework RC1.  Unfortuantly, it doesn't run on Windows Vista RC1. The orginal version had so many requirements that getting installed took forever and many were underwhelmed with it when they did get it loaded.  They have done a lot of work since then and those of you on Windows XP might be intrested in picking up this eye candy treat, not for its inteded purpose as a photo sharing app.  No, that is so-so, but because in this recent release they added the ability to read RSS and Atom feeds.

So you might be thinking yeah SO WHAT, I have an RSS reader I like.  What have they done that is so special? Well they have done a wonderful job on presenting RSS feeds that has to be experienced.  If you have a test XP system lying around give it a go...here is a sample.

This app is so slick as an RSS reader I wish they would drop the photo sharing side and make this just a kick butt reader and ship as an Ultimate extra add-on for Windows Vista.

Have you tried it?  What do you think?

I haven't tried it yet but I agree with you based on the screenshot!  A nice 'newspaper' look to it!  I'll have to give it a shot, if I can find a PC of mine that's still running XP............... :-)
