Were you hoping Santa would drop of a brand new version of Windows for you this Christmas? Well Guess again, Activewin has word from Jim Allchin that Windows Vista will not be available to consumers until early 2007. They are reporting that Windows Vista will be available to businesses in the November timeframe, it wasn't clear if this meant that OEM's would be able to provide it and if they would have product on shelves during this years holiday season. My guess is that they would still try to get it out with OEM PC's, but that people wanting to upgrade will have to wait.
