Windows Server 2003 SP2 Released

Pardon the brevity... but I'm sitting on the floor in the Seattle Convention Center listening to the Gates keynote.  However, I wanted to post regarding Windows Server 2003 SP2 being released to the web.  One interesting thing I haven't seen in any previous service pack is the inclusion of a 'Hotfix Scan Tool'.  This tool identifies hotfixes that may be rolled back when you install SP2.  I'll do some testing of SP2 RTM as time permits - and if you have comments on your own testing/deployment please post a comment below.

  • The 32-bit version of SP2 weighs in at 372MB
  • KB article 914961 should be updated shortly and will contain important SP2 links
  • Small Business Server 2003 users should review KB932600 before applying SP2
